Alden Myers

Aunspaugh Fellow

Alden Myers is from Alexandria, Virginia and recently graduated with a BA in Studio Art and Art History. She is a photographer who primarily makes pictures using black and white large format film.

Her photographs deal with ambiguous forms, whether with people or inanimate objects, to evoke feelings of what is unstable or unresolved. She understands picture-making as an extraction of a scene from a larger whole and is fascinated by how this process relates to everyday ways in which we interact with images, such as consuming pictures through mediated or fragmented glimpses.
